This week at The Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge, we will be using Magenta, Celery green and Pale yellow. The April Application is "Add Argyle".

I made the above farewell card for a co-worker who left my company recently for greener pastures. I will miss him and our conversations about books, travel and jazz music. I wish him success in his new job.

The image is by House Mouse and is called "Gruffies - Bear-ied in Paperwo". I used a Sizzix folder called "Diamonds in Diamonds" for the embossing (that's my April Application).

Tracy, a fellow DT member, is hosting a new challenge at Guylou's Inimitability starting today. The challenge is to use the color combination below and an unconventional item on your project... i.e. foil, a washer, mesh screen, a screw, something that could be found around the house.

I used toothpicks for my unconventional item. I made the path with them. I used "Explorer Chuck" for my project. I really like this image. It is fun and perfect for boy cards. I have a lot of men in my life, my dad, four brothers, my son and six nephews. I always need boy cards.

Guylou's Inimitability is hosting a "Wedding" theme challenge at CDAC starting today until May 5th. There is a freebie available called "William and Kate" by Guylou's Inimitability. The challenge is in honour of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding. Can't wait to see that!! Although it will be at 3am my time!!

I handmade the roses and put a bit of Stickles on them to make them more glamourous. The inside sentiment is a rubber stamp I found in the dollar bin at Michael's. The embossing folder is by Sizzix and is called Damask #4. The border punch is by Martha Stewart.

I made the above get well card for a co-worker who had a bad fall and broke his nose and had to have stitches under his left eye. He came out of the hot tub, slipped and fell face first on a wooden bench. Ouch!!. I had the entire IT team sign it to cheer him up. Needless to say that the comments were funny. 

The image is by Greeting Farm and is called "Cheeky Nurse". I used a Cuddlebug folder called "Polka Dots" for the embossing (that's my April Application) and I made my first pin embellishment using a sowing needle and some pearls.

Guylou's Inimitability is having a new challenge called "April Showers" starting today until April 21st. The challenge is that your project must have at least one umbrella. Do I hear singing in the rain yet? :)

I had such a fun time making this card. I had this very colourful umbrella paper and did not know what to do with it. This challenge was perfect for it.

I made the above card for my dear friend Gina's birthday. As created an image in her honor and called it Gina and her furbabies. Gina has two beautiful Siamese cats. I made the small roses in two color tones to match the background paper.

I slightly distressed the image border (the picture does not show it well).
